A project is a body of work: a week in Iceland, a series you are shooting through the winter, or simply the spots around home you keep meaning to return to. Spots live inside it, so a plan is a set of related shots rather than a wall of pins.

Open a project and you get the shape of the day. Every spot in order, how much gear you are going to be carrying, and the time and distance between one location and the next.
That last part is what usually breaks a plan. Two spots can both be worth shooting and still be impossible together if golden hour lasts forty minutes and the drive is fifty.

A spot is not a pin with a note attached. It carries the sky track and the light timeline for your shooting time, so you can see what the light is doing around the moment you plan to be there, along with the sun readings and the light situation from that standpoint.
Underneath sits the practical half: spot weather, reference images for a gear setup or simply for inspiration, and the pack list with its weight so you carry what you need and nothing else.
Then reminders, set early enough that you actually have time to prepare, and for the shots that really matter, a countdown on your lock screen.
