Enter your kit once, use it everywhere
Gear is not an inventory for its own sake. It is what makes the rest of the app specific to you rather than generic.

The kit, and what it weighs
Add cameras with their sensor size and megapixels, and lenses with their focal range. Each item carries a weight, which is the number that decides what actually goes in the bag at four in the morning.
Group items into named pack lists and the weights roll up, so a set is a decision you can see rather than a pile you discover on the trail.
From there the data flows outward. The sensor dimensions are what the map uses to draw an accurate field of view cone, the pack list attaches to a photo spot so the plan carries its own kit, and the calculators offer a "From my Gear" prefill so you are not typing a focal length twice.
